Beckhoff’s Vision Unit Illuminated with Liquid Lens Technology has been expanded to include 16 new models with new image sensors, now offering higher resolutions of 5.1, 8.1, and 12.4MP. An option with crossed polarizing filters is also now available, a solution for suppressing distracting reflections on smooth or glossy surfaces. The linearly polarized light from the illumination is reflected largely unchanged and blocked by the orthogonally aligned filter on the image sensor. Surface glare is eliminated, and contrast and recognition accuracy are significantly improved.
